Singapore\u2019s iconic Singapore Flyer is giving visitors more to look forward to before they even step into a capsule. In collaboration with Epson, the attraction has refreshed its Time Capsule experience into a fully immersive pre-flight journey powered by Epson\u2019s 3LCD projection technology. Since reopening on 8 August 2025, the revamped space stretches the overall visit to more than 75 minutes, using large-scale visuals, interactive storytelling, and spatial audio to bring Singapore\u2019s story to life.<\/p>\n

Located at the base of the 165-metre observation wheel, Time Capsule now spans two levels and features 10 themed installations. Visitors are guided through Singapore\u2019s transformation, from its early trading port roots to the global city seen from above today, through a mix of interactive games, AI-driven visuals, and 3D projection mapping. More than 60 Epson 3LCD projectors are installed throughout the space, turning walls, floors, and ceilings into dynamic canvases that seamlessly guide guests from one scene to the next.<\/p>\n

The projection system sits at the heart of the experience. High-lumen models like the Epson EB-PU2213B handle complex environments, including mirrored rooms and tight installation spaces, while ultra-short-throw lenses ensure sharp, vivid visuals without interruption. One standout is the Red Dot Room, where reflections and projections combine to showcase Singapore\u2019s multicultural festivals in a visually layered environment that feels both immersive and playful.<\/p>\n

At the core of immersive installations like the Singapore Flyer\u2019s Time Capsule are the high-lumen models like the Epson EB-PU2213B, which is a high-brightness large-venue projector designed to deliver vivid, reliable visuals at scale. With 13,000 lumens of equal white and colour brightness, Epson\u2019s 3LCD technology ensures consistently rich and accurate imagery, while its WUXGA resolution with 4K enhancement produces sharp, detailed visuals even across expansive surfaces.<\/p>\n

Built for demanding environments, it features a long-lasting laser light source rated up to 20,000 hours, a sealed optical engine for dust resistance, and flexible installation options with interchangeable lenses, making it especially suited for complex, multi-projector setups where precision, durability, and seamless visual storytelling are critical.<\/p>\n

Behind the scenes, creative studio Untitled Project worked alongside Singapore Flyer and local historians to develop the narrative. The result is a responsive environment where motion-triggered content and interactive elements react to visitors in real time. A companion web experience also extends the journey beyond the physical space.<\/p>\n
