Available in two mesmerising guilloch\u00e9-flinqu\u00e9 enamel editions \u2014 vibrant turquoise blue and deep ruby red \u2014 the Freak S Enamel represents a new pinnacle in the evolution of Ulysse Nardin\u2019s most revolutionary collection.<\/p>\n
A Revolution Continues<\/strong> A watch with no dial, no hands, and no crown, it introduced silicon technology to horology and forever changed how time could be displayed and experienced.<\/p>\n Nearly 25 years later, the Freak remains an icon of innovation. The Freak S, launched as its most complex iteration, pushed the boundaries of mechanical architecture and micro-engineering even further \u2014 and now, the Freak S Enamel elevates that legacy once more, blending futuristic construction with exquisite artisanal refinement.<\/p>\n At its core lies the UN-251 Manufacture calibre, one of the most intricate movements ever built for a time-only watch. Its astonishing design operates across six gear planes, incorporating:<\/p>\n \u25cf Two inclined silicon balance wheels set at 20\u00b0 angles for enhanced stability and precision<\/p>\n \u25cf The world\u2019s smallest vertical differential gear, mounted on ball bearings<\/p>\n \u25cf The Grinder\u00ae system, Ulysse Nardin\u2019s patented automatic winding mechanism that harvests energy from even the slightest wrist movement<\/p>\n Comprising 373 components and 33 jewels, the movement powers a rotating carousel mechanism, in which almost every element is in motion. The entire movement spins on its axis once per hour, with the gold minute bridge doubling as the minute hand \u2014 a breathtaking kinetic display of horological theatre.<\/p>\n Both balance wheels are treated with DIAMonSIL\u00ae, a diamond-silicon composite exclusive to Ulysse Nardin, ensuring exceptional durability and efficiency.<\/p>\n Each rotating hour disc, crafted in 18-carat white gold, undergoes multiple firings at 800\u00b0C to achieve its vivid depth and lustre.
