Fountain Square@Clarke Quay buzzed with creativity as over 600 photography enthusiasts came together for the 19th edition of the Canon PhotoMarathon on 19 July 2025. Themed \u201cOne Click, One Vibe,\u201d this year\u2019s competition challenged participants to uncover beauty in the ordinary, inspired by three mystery themes: Home, Vintage, and Vibe(s).<\/p>\n

Armed with cameras and fueled by passion, photographers dashed across the island to interpret each theme within a two-hour window. The result? A stunning spectrum of visual stories that captured the nuances of Singaporean life: nostalgic artefacts, heartland scenes, personal memories, through the diverse lenses of Singapore\u2019s vibrant community.<\/p>\n

\u201cCanon PhotoMarathon has grown from a competition into a vibrant showcase of creativity, diversity and technical excellence that fuels the photography community in Singapore,\u201d said Andrew Koh, Senior Vice President and Head of Singapore Operations, Canon Singapore. \u201cOne of the themes this year reflects the values of SG60 and reminds us of the spirit of everyday Singaporeans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spotlight on the Winning Clicks<\/strong>
\nFrom the warmth of family life to the playful tones of vintage aesthetics and modern vibes, this year\u2019s winning entries stood out for their emotional depth and visual precision. Winners include:<\/p>\n

\u201cEach year, the standard just keeps rising. This year\u2019s themes were especially tricky and pushed participants to think beyond the obvious. Winning entries displayed great composition, lighting and powerful storytelling.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Platform for All: Empowering Through Inclusion<\/strong>
\nTrue to its kyosei philosophy\u2014living and working together for the common good\u2014Canon once again partnered with APSN (Association for Persons with Special Needs) to invite students with mild intellectual disabilities to take part in the student category.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Canon PhotoMarathon reflects our school\u2019s values \u2013 I Can, I Want, I Will \u2013 and fosters inclusivity by empowering individuals with special needs to become active contributors to society,\u201d shared Muhammad Faris, CCA Arts Coordinator at APSN Delta Senior School.<\/p>\n

Generations United by the Lens<\/strong>
\nLong-time participant Wayne Kwan, a 38-year-old educator, returned for his 11th PhotoMarathon\u2014this time with a twist. He was joined by his wife and 7-year-old son, turning this year\u2019s race into a heartwarming family affair.<\/p>\n
