Sennheiser has launched a new 1-channel version of its Profile Wireless 2.4 GHz microphone system, designed especially for solo content creators.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Compact and lightweight, the new kit swaps the dual-channel charging bar for a second USB charging cable and includes a two-channel receiver to allow future expansion.<\/p>\n

It also ships with a full set of accessories: a clip-on mic with a mini windshield and magnetic mount, two USB cables, USB-C and Lightning adapters, a camera cable, and a shoe mount adapter, all packed in a rugged pouch.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The 1-channel mic offers up to seven hours of battery life and internal memory for 30 hours of recording, while maintaining the same easy setup and broad compatibility as the original two-channel system. The mic can be paired with lavaliers or used as a wireless boom, making it ideal for everything from laptop streaming to DSLR filming.<\/p>\n

\u201cFollowing the huge success of the Profile Wireless 2-channel system, we\u2019re now catering to the solo creator, who does not require the full two-channel package but would rather like to save on weight and cost and still have Sennheiser audio quality,\u201d says Hendrik Millauer, Product Manager Broadcast & Film at Sennheiser. \u201cProfile Wireless 1-channel is also ideal for the casual user looking for a wireless mic to hook up to their laptop, for example.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sennheiser also announced a major firmware update (V4.1.0) that brings 32-bit float recording to the entire Profile Wireless lineup. This feature enhances dynamic range and offers better protection against audio clipping, combining signals from dual A\/D converters for superior audio fidelity. Users can choose between 32-bit float and a 24-bit Safety Channel Mode, which adds a -6 dB backup track.<\/p>\n

The update is now available via the Sennheiser website<\/a>, and early buyers of the 1-channel mic are advised to install it.<\/p>\n
