Synology has introduced two new additions to its DiskStation lineup: the DS1825+<\/strong> and DS1525+<\/strong>, aimed at small-to-medium businesses and professionals who need powerful, scalable, and compact storage solutions. These NAS models are designed to tackle modern data management challenges with enhanced performance and reliability.<\/p>\n

“These two models provide a solid foundation for data management and collaboration,” said Owen Liao, Product Manager at Synology. “With growing demands for business-grade performance, scalability, and reliability, the DS1825+ and DS1525+ are built to meet those needs head-on.”<\/p>\n

Performance and Scalability that Grows With You<\/strong>
\nBoth the DS1525+ and DS1825+ come equipped with dual 2.5GbE LAN ports for high-speed connectivity.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The DS1525+ supports optional 10GbE upgrades via the E10G22-T1-Mini module, while the DS1825+ includes a PCIe 3.0 slot that accommodates both 10GBASE-T and 10\/25GbE network cards. Each model also features two M.2 NVMe slots, enabling users to create ultra-fast all-flash caches or high-performance storage pools.<\/p>\n

In Synology’s internal testing, the DS1825+ reached up to 2,239 MB\/s read and 1,573 MB\/s write speeds, while the DS1525+ clocked in at 1,181 MB\/s for both read and write. Both systems can be scaled significantly with up to two 5-bay DX525 expansion units, offering up to 300 TB of raw storage on the DS1525+ and 360 TB on the DS1825+, a future-ready solution for growing businesses.<\/p>\n

To ensure consistent performance and reliability, Synology has implemented a stringent drive compatibility policy. Installation requires Synology-compatible hard drives that have undergone more than 7,000 hours of validation testing.<\/p>\n

\nRunning on DiskStation Manager (DSM), the new NAS models are ready for a wide range of business applications:
