With an ethos rooted in transhumanism, the Variant \u201cD\u201d is a striking combination of lo-fi aesthetics and three-dimensional craftsmanship, challenging traditional watchmaking conventions.<\/p>\n
A Minimalist Yet Intricate Dial Design<\/strong> The subtly textured black base is set with 468 hand-applied cylindrical hour markers, varying in six different diameters and heights. Each marker is sandblasted and filled with X1 grade Super-LumiNova, which emits a bright green glow, enhancing readability. The dial design features \u201cmaxi\u201d hour markers with batons for the cardinal hours and circles for the other hours, achieving a visually distinct and modern appearance.<\/p>\n Industrial Case Construction: Raw and Unfiltered<\/strong> Instead, Kollokium embraces the raw, industrial aesthetic of die-cast steel, with no additional finishing or embellishment. This rugged approach creates a bold and unpolished look that\u2019s almost antithetical to the refined finishes found on most other watches.<\/p>\n The two-part case construction features a barrel-shaped caseback element paired with lugs inspired by cruciform screwdrivers, appearing as if they were chiselled down to only retain structurally integral components. Completing the look is a triangular valve-shaped crown, enhancing the industrial, utilitarian feel of the Projekt 01.<\/p>\n A Strap Built for Utility and Comfort<\/strong> Developed specifically for the collection, the strap is a single-piece construction with a hook fastening system and stitched loops, providing both comfort and durability. It\u2019s designed for those who value both style and functionality, making the watch effortless to wear for any occasion.<\/p>\n Limited to 299 pieces, the Variant \u201cD\u201d will be available globally, with 10 pieces exclusively offered at Watches of Switzerland\u2019s newest Capsule concept boutique.
