Ahead of the Lunar New Year, Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer is releasing
\na dedicated timepiece commemorating the year of the rabbit, TAG Heuer Carrera
\nChronograph Year of the Rabbit.<\/p>\n
Limited to only 500 pieces, the stunning black, red and golden chronograph is refined yet sporty and infused with delicate symbols of the cunning and cute animal. The rabbit zodiac sign represents wits, prudence and skill, positive attributes that will undoubtedly resonate with a discerning clientele. The color red, present in subtle touches throughout the piece represents luck, joy, passion and boldness since ancient times in China.<\/p>\n
Closely linked to the fire element, it is also the color of choice to adorn the most revered spaces and possessions. Based on the 44-mm TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph, the limited edition features an elegant steel case, deep black ceramic fixed bezel with tachymeter scale echoing its racing origins, and a custom designed dial.<\/p>\n

With its balanced tricompax layout, the chronograph introduces a never-seen-before black dial with printed lines representing a rabbit\u2019s soft fur, which bring texture and depth to the exclusive model. The chronograph sub-counters at 3 and 9 o\u2019clock are \u00ab azur\u00e9 \u00bb, with their structured concentric lines contrasting against the gentle waves of the background. The indexes and hours and minutes hands are 18K 5N rose gold plated and covered with sophisticated dark red lacquer. The chronograph and seconds hands are also rose gold plated.<\/p>\n
The case back design, known only to the wearer, is fully customized to reveal a printed red rabbit figure centered on the sapphire glass. Around it are special engravings to indicate the watch\u2019s limited release, \u201cOne of 500\u201d and \u201cLimited Edition\u201d. The watch\u2019s movement, the Calibre Heuer 02, is visible through this stunning case back.<\/p>\n

Developed and produced in-house by TAG Heuer, it offers great timekeeping precision and performance thanks to its vertical clutch and column wheel. With its 80- hour power reserve it is intended to support any thrilling lifestyle. The strap is made of smooth black calfskin with contrasting beige stitching, in harmonious continuity with the dial\u2019s rose gold features.<\/p>\n
A special box was imagined to house this exceptional TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Year of the Rabbit, in the same deep red color as the watch, and elevated with gold gilded TAG Heuer shields on the top and closure as well as an outline of the rabbit figure present on the case back.
