And it is in this spirit that Sincere Fine Watches continues to make its mark on the horological world. For example, with the latest result of its partnership with Chronom\u00e9trie Ferdinand Berthoud, the Chronom\u00e9tre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1.4.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chronom\u00e9tre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1.4<\/b><\/h2>\n

\"Chronometre<\/p>\n

Like the three previous editions of the Chronom\u00e9tre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1, the movement of the FB 1.4 is endowed with horological complications. These complications are inspired by Ferdinand Berthoud\u2019s 18th century marine chronometers.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this fourth iteration, the Chronom\u00e9tre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1.4 takes things to a modern aesthetic, with an all-titanium case and bright blue detailing. Its lightness and modernity are further reinforced by chamfered sapphire bridges for its calibre. The transparency of the case lets curious eyes gaze upon the depths of its movement, while ensuring smooth visual integration with the titanium case colour.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chronom\u00e9tre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1.4 is a 44mm-diameter watch, and measures less than 13mm thick. It has a hand-stitched double-sided alligator leather strap that beautifully frames the distinctive shape of the watch\u2019s case.<\/span><\/p>\n

An Evolving Case Design<\/b><\/h2>\n

\"Back<\/p>\n

For the first time however, its sides are not pierced with four portholes. The view of its calibre has been shifted to the back. Light floods into the very depths of the mechanism. The usual nickel silver bridges have been replaced by the aforementioned sapphire half-bridges. The entire movement is revealed, and offers a first-ever view of the polished power-reserve cone.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are two options for the dial. Black galvanised frosted brass, or vertical satin-brushed silver-toned brass. The tourbillon carriage driving wheel and the seconds wheel are both delicately blued, and revealed by another dial opening.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
