The Lunar New Year-themed Xbox Series S and official controller have been released by Microsoft.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On February 1st, the year of the tiger begins. According to Chinese tradition, people born in the year of the tiger have a strong and confident personality, which is a trait shared by the Xbox family. The red-colored combination is stylised with traditional characters highlighting the Year of the Tiger, thanks to a collaboration with Chinese cartoonist &#8220;Bu2ma.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only 15 of these controller and console pairings have been created, and fans can enter a sweepstakes to win one. The Sweepstakes starts at 2:00 a.m. Singapore Time on January 22, 2022, and ends at 2:00 a.m. on February 4, 2022 (SGT). Participants have to be above the age of 18 and must be a legal resident of any <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xbox.com\/en-US\/promotions\/sweepstakes\/lunar-new-year-custom-console-and-controller\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Xbox Live supported region<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>To enter, participants must do all of the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Login to your legally registered Twitter account and visit https:\/\/www.twitter.com\/xbox\/ to become a follower of @xbox.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Re-tweet the promotional post and include the hashtag #LunarNewYearXboxSweepstakes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5109\" src=\"https:\/\/dontplayplay.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/image2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"859\" height=\"750\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is not the first time Xbox released a limited edition controller. Since the Xbox Series X|S launched at the end of 2020, a number of limited edition consoles and controllers have been released, including a Halo Infinite Limited Edition package and a 20th Anniversary controller.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Xbox Series S is the smallest, sleekest Xbox ever. Being more affordable than the Xbox Series X, it has the best value in gaming, with more dynamic worlds, shorter load times, and the addition of Xbox Game Pass (sold separately). The Xbox Series S is the first game console to feature Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos (along with Series X), which provide full-spectrum images and immersive audio to enhance gameplay.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Xbox Velocity Architecture, powered by a proprietary SSD, delivers gameplay at up to 120 frames per second and faster load times. The Seagate Storage Expansion Cards (sold separately) for Xbox Series S plug into the back of the console for increased inventory and uncompromised performance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5110 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dontplayplay.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/image3-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"539\" height=\"440\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the Xbox Series S, go all-digital and establish a digital gaming library. In the cloud, your games, saves, and backups are safe. You may also pre-order and pre-install upcoming titles so you&#8217;ll be ready to play when they come out. However, the Xbox Series S lacks the Xbox Series X&#8217;s 4K HD Blu-Ray drive, making it a digital-only console. This could pose a problem if you have already acquired a sizable collection of physical games over the years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overall, the Xbox Series S remains a wonderful entry point into the Xbox ecosystem at its reduced price point.
