Fitbit Pay officially goes live in Singapore with UOB being the first to step up. Now with the Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Flyer, contactless payment just got easier and more stylish.<\/span><\/p>\n

Go Contactless With UOB And Fitbit Pay<\/b><\/h2>\n

Contactless payment makes everybody\u2019s life easier. All you have to do is tap, and your groceries, dinner, movie tickets and more are paid for. And now, if you\u2019re a UOB card holder, you can do so with the new Fitbit Ionic smartwatch! UOB cardmembers will be the first in Asia to be able to make Fitbit Pay contactless payments through the Fitbit Ionic.<\/span><\/p>\n

UOB\u2019s data shows that in the last year, 30% more of its customers made contactless payment through cards, smartphones, and other wearable devices. The total number of contactless transactions almost tripled in the same period. What this suggests is that not only are more people going contactless, they\u2019re also doing so more often.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to that, UOB also observed that over the past few years, customers have spent 10% more each year on health and wellness products and services. It thus makes it perfectly fitting for UOB to make it easier for their customers to continue a push towards a healthy lifestyle with contactless payments.<\/span><\/p>\n

And what better way to do that than with Fitbit Pay?<\/span><\/p>\n

It only takes two steps for UOB cardmembers to enable Fitbit Pay. All you need to do is add your UOB credit or debit card details to the wallet section of the Fitbit app, and synchronise it to your Fitbit Ionic watch via Bluetooth. To make a purchase, you simply activate your card by pressing and holding the left button on the Ionic. Hold your watch out in front of a contactless payment terminal, and you\u2019re done!<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of UOB\u2019s launch of Fitbit Pay contactless payments in Singapore, cardmembers who meet minimum spending requirements on their UOB cards are eligible to redeem a limited edition Tristan Eaton-designed Fitbit Ionic watch or Fitbit Charge 2 tracker.<\/span><\/p>\n
