LG and Qualcomm have announced a partnership to research and develop connectivity solutions for cars. Both companies will establish a joint research center in South Korea. This research center will research and develop 5G for vehicles and Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) technology.<\/span><\/p>\n LG and Qualcomm are both familiar names in the field of mobile innovation. Now, with this partnership, they bring decades of R&D experience and knowledge of mobile technology to come up with solutions for next-generation cars.<\/span><\/p>\n Kim Jin-yong, executive vice president of LG\u2019s Vehicle Components Smart Business Unit had this to say. He expressed the belief that the \u201ccombined research strength of Qualcomm and LG will yield benefits that would not be feasible working independently.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Nakul Duggal, vice president of product management at Qualcomm, emphasised the companies\u2019 \u201ccontinued commitment to the development of advanced solutions for safe, connected, and increasingly autonomous vehicles.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The collaboration will begin effective immediately.
