To gear up for my first trip to Switzerland, my packing list included tons of hoodies, three winter wear jackets I rented from my own start-up Igloo Wear<\/a> (a winter wear rental company), and the Canon EOS M6 Mark II together with two lenses – EF-M55-200mm IS STM and EF-M15-45mm f\/3.5-6.3 IS STM. Here are some of my favourite moments from my 8-day adventure!<\/span><\/p>\n

Top of the World<\/b><\/h3>\n

Do not get me wrong, I did not reach the highest peak in the world, but standing at the peak of the mountains in the Bernese Alps felt like being on top of the world. The first mountain I visited was Mount Rigi, where I took a cruise along a beautiful lake with crystal-clear water, then transferred to the oldest mountain railway in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even before reaching the top of the mountain, I was dazzled by the spectacular view during the train ride. My jaw dropped at the aerial view of Switzerland (and even a peek of Germany). I was snapping away with the basic kit lens and the best of it all is the 32.5 megapixels APS-C CMOS sensor so all the photos turned out vibrant and detailed. Now I have the picturesque mountain alps beautifully captured to frame up!<\/span><\/p>\n

Zooming In<\/b><\/h3>\n

I have always been comfortable with taking photos with the basic kit lens, but on this trip I finally experimented with a long-range lens. The EF-M55-200mm IS STM – the longest telephoto zoom lens for the M series – Seemed a bit intimidating initially, and it did take a bit more patience at first, but I soon realised it was really useful to take videos of the natural environment for filler shots or photos of skiers on the chairlifts. Hopefully, after more practice, I\u2019ll get better at taking photos with the long-range lens!<\/span><\/p>\n
