The FUJINON GF45mmF2.8 R WR lens is 6th in the GF Lens Series for Fujifilm\u2019s <\/span>medium format GFX-50S<\/span><\/a>. The FUJINON \u201cGF Lenses\u201d for the GFX-50S are known for featuring rich tone reproduction, unique colour reproduction, and high resolving power, making them popular among professional photographers and enthusiasts alike. And the GF45mmF2.8 R WR more than lives up to its predecessors, with its compact design and reliability.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lightweight, Yet Packing a Punch<\/b><\/h2>\n

Weighing in at only 490g, the GF45mmF2.8 R WR is a highly versatile wide angle lens. It has a focal length equivalent to 36mm (on a 35mm format) and maximum F2.8 aperture, perfect for that once in a lifetime shot. With its compact and lightweight design, it\u2019s also highly ideal for street and documentary photography.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the aperture ring has a C position on the camera body that allows the lens aperture value to be changed to suit the photographer\u2019s preferences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Performance Without Hassle<\/b><\/h2>\n

With its Nano GI coating, the GF45mmF2.8 R WR lens offers clear depiction performance with reduced ghosting and flare. Even those caused by incident light from diagonal angles!<\/span><\/p>\n

The lens is also weather and dust resistant, allowing you to shoot with confidence in most environments. The lens has been sealed in ten areas, and can therefore be used in temperatures as low as -10\u00b0C, or in light rain. With its portability, stability, and compactness, it\u2019s an optimal lens for snapshots and documentary photography.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fujifilm has also announced the latest development of the \u201cG Mount Lens Roadmap\u201d for the GFX-50S. Beyond the release of the GF45mmF2.8 R WR, Fujifilm also has plans for two lenses that will expand the GF range to cover telephoto needs.<\/span><\/p>\n

To begin with, the Telephoto Prime Lens \u201cGF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR\u201d is a telephoto prime lens. It has a focal length equivalent to 198mm (on a 35mm format) and maximum F4 aperture, letting you take portrait and landscape images with beautiful bokeh effects.<\/span><\/p>\n
