AI-Powered Productivity, Refined
The Acer Swift 16 AI blends OLED brilliance, intelligent performance and creative innovation in a Copilot+ PC

The first thing I thought when I powered up the Acer Swift 16 AI was that it did not feel like just another thin-and-light laptop. Acer positions it as a Copilot+ PC designed for evolving AI workflows, and after using it for writing, research, editing and even casual gaming, it becomes clear that this is more than marketing language. The Swift 16 AI feels purpose-built for a new generation of AI-enhanced computing.
Design-wise, the Swift 16 AI strikes a confident balance between elegance and practicality. Its aluminium chassis feels premium yet remains impressively slim for a 16-inch machine. The 180-degree hinge adds unexpected versatility, making it easier to collaborate across a table or enjoy content in a more relaxed setup. The full-sized keyboard, complete with large, individually backlit keys, is comfortable for long typing sessions. Key travel is firm and responsive, which makes extended editorial work feel effortless rather than fatiguing.

The most distinctive hardware feature is the world’s largest haptic touchpad. Rather than being oversized for novelty, it meaningfully changes how you interact with the device. The Corning Gorilla Glass surface feels smooth and refined, while haptic feedback is precise and convincing. With MPP 2.5 tilt-enabled stylus support, the touchpad doubles as a creative canvas. From sketching layout ideas to annotating storyboard concepts, it enhances creative flow in a way that feels intuitive and forward-looking.
The 16-inch 3K OLED display (2880 x 1800) is equally compelling. With 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage, Delta E < 2 accuracy and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, visuals are vibrant and richly detailed. Blacks are deep, contrast is striking and colour reproduction is dependable for photo and video work. The 120Hz refresh rate keeps motion fluid, whether scrolling through research or playing games, while Eyesafe Certified 2.0 support helps reduce eye strain during long sessions.

Powering the Swift 16 AI is up to the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor, delivering up to 180 TOPS of total AI performance. In daily use, multitasking feels seamless. Running multiple browser tabs, productivity suites, AI-assisted tools and media apps simultaneously posed no issue. Intel Arc B390 graphics add extra versatility, supporting creative workloads and light gaming comfortably.
To test its real-world capability, I ran titles like Heartopia and League of Legends. Both performed smoothly, with vibrant visuals that particularly benefited from the OLED panel. Frame rates remained stable, even during more demanding moments in gameplay. While this is not positioned as a dedicated gaming laptop, it proves that portability does not have to mean sacrificing entertainment.

Battery life is another highlight. Acer claims up to 24 hours, and in mixed real-world usage — writing, streaming, research and editing — it comfortably lasted through a full workday. For travel or long creative sessions away from power outlets, that endurance makes a tangible difference.
As a Copilot+ PC, AI integration feels genuinely purposeful. AcerSense provides streamlined access to system and AI tools, while Acer Intelligence Space suggests compatible AI applications based on hardware capabilities. Windows 11’s Copilot integration enhances drafting, summarising and research tasks directly on-device. In practice, this speeds up editorial comparisons, brainstorming and workflow organisation without feeling intrusive.

Connectivity is forward-looking, with dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1 supporting up to 8K output and Wi-Fi 7 for faster, more stable wireless performance. File transfers are swift, external displays connect seamlessly,y and DTS:X Ultra audio delivers fuller sound than expected from such a slim chassis.
After extended use, the Acer Swift 16 AI feels less like a traditional productivity laptop and more like a glimpse into where Windows computing is heading. Its expansive haptic touchpad, colour-accurate OLED display, strong Intel Core Ultra performance and thoughtful AI integration combine into a device built for creators, researchers and professionals navigating AI-driven workflows.
We Say: The Acer Swift 16 AI is a forward-thinking Copilot+ PC that pairs premium design with meaningful AI integration, immersive visuals and all-day endurance — a compelling choice for the next era of intelligent computing.
