Sony Launches LinkBuds Clip: Open-Ear Earbuds Designed for Always-On Listening

Sony has introduced the LinkBuds Clip, a new generation of clip-style open-ear earbuds built for users who want to stay connected to both their music and their surroundings. Designed with an “always-on” listening concept, these earbuds allow ambient sounds, like conversations, traffic, and announcements, to blend naturally with your audio, making them ideal for daily commutes and all-day wear. With a socially friendly design that reduces ear fatigue and eliminates ear-canal pressure, the LinkBuds Clip offers a more natural and comfortable listening experience without compromising awareness.

The earbuds feature a distinctive C-shaped open design that comfortably fits a wide range of ear types, supported by adjustable Air Fitting Cushions for a more secure fit. Users can switch between three listening modes depending on their environment: Standard mode for balanced, detailed audio, Voice Boost mode for clearer speech in noisy areas, and Sound Leakage Reduction mode for more private listening in quiet spaces. Powered by Sony’s audio expertise, the LinkBuds Clip delivers rich, natural sound enhanced by DSEE upscaling, 360 Reality Audio, and a fully customisable 10-band EQ via the Sony | Sound Connect app.

On the call quality front, the LinkBuds Clip combines advanced voice pickup technology with AI-powered noise reduction and a bone conduction sensor to ensure clear, natural conversations, even in busy environments. Lightweight and ergonomically designed, the earbuds are comfortable enough for all-day use, while optional Fitting Cushions provide extra stability during activities like running or outdoor workouts. The design also takes inspiration from ear cuffs and comes in multiple colour options, with additional customisation available through optional accessories such as case covers and cushions.

Functionality extends beyond sound and comfort. The LinkBuds Clip offers up to 37 hours of battery life with quick charging; just three minutes of charge delivers up to one hour of playback. With an IPX4 water resistance rating, they are built to handle sweat and light rain. Features like Multipoint Connection, tap controls, quick access, and adaptive scene-based listening further enhance usability across devices and environments.

Sony has also taken steps toward sustainability, with packaging that is entirely plastic-free and made using approximately 20% recycled materials, reflecting the company’s broader environmental commitments.

The Sony LinkBuds Clip is available in Singapore now and comes in Black, Green, Lavender, and Greige, with a suggested retail price of S$269.
