Intel has officially rolled out a new wave of laptops powered by its latest Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors, built on the cutting-edge Intel 18A process. This new generation brings a major leap forward for thin-and-light devices, combining impressive performance with exceptional energy efficiency. The result is a new class of ultra-portable laptops that can handle everything from AAA gaming to on-device AI workloads, without compromising on all-day battery life.

According to George Chacko, General Manager for Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand at Intel, the new processors are designed to redefine portability and power. These laptops are capable of running demanding applications like modern games and local AI chatbots, all while maintaining long-lasting battery performance, something that was previously difficult to achieve in such compact form factors.
Gaming Power, Without the Bulk
Traditionally, gaming laptops have relied on bulky designs and dedicated GPUs to deliver smooth performance. With Intel Core Ultra Series 3, that’s changing. These new machines pack Intel’s most powerful integrated Intel Arc graphics, delivering performance comparable to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, a significant milestone for integrated graphics.

This means users can enjoy high-quality gaming, content creation, and multitasking on devices that are noticeably thinner and lighter. High-end configurations feature up to 16 CPU cores and 12 Xe-cores, offering up to 60% faster CPU performance, 77% faster gaming performance, and up to 27 hours of Netflix streaming on a single charge.
AI at the Edge: Faster, Safer, Smarter
One of the standout features of the new processors is their ability to run AI workloads locally. Unlike traditional setups that depend on cloud-based large language models (LLMs), these laptops can process AI tasks directly on-device. This not only improves responsiveness but also enhances privacy, as sensitive data stays on the user’s machine.

Powered by a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) delivering up to 50 TOPS, the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips can achieve up to 1.9x faster LLM performance. This enables smoother, faster AI experiences, even without an internet connection, making them ideal for professionals and users concerned about data security and reliability.
Wide Availability Across Top Brands
Starting today, laptops equipped with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors are available from leading PC manufacturers, including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI. These devices can be found at major electronics retailers, official brand stores, and authorised resellers.
With this launch, Intel is clearly pushing the boundaries of what thin-and-light laptops can do—bringing together gaming, AI, and long battery life into a single, highly portable package.
