The compact electric SUV segment in Singapore is set to welcome a new contender as Cycle & Carriage previews the all-new GWM ORA 5 at the Singapore Motorshow 2026.

Making its local debut under GWM ORA — the electric vehicle brand from Great Wall Motor (GWM) — the ORA 5 signals the brand’s next step in expanding beyond hatchbacks into the growing SUV market.
The model builds on GWM’s global philosophy of “All Scenarios, All Powertrains, All Users”, reflecting the automaker’s commitment to delivering mobility solutions tailored to diverse lifestyles and real-world driving needs.
Expanding the ORA Line-Up in Singapore
Since entering the Singapore market in 2023 with the ORA Good Cat 03, Cycle & Carriage’s partnership with GWM has steadily introduced new electric offerings to local drivers. According to Ms Dawn Pan, Chief Operating Officer, Multi-franchise Operations at Cycle & Carriage Singapore, the ORA 5 represents a natural evolution for the brand.

“The arrival of the GWM ORA 5 marks an exciting next chapter, broadening the lineup into the SUV segment with a compelling blend of GWM ORA’s nature-inspired aesthetics and cutting-edge electric technology,” she said.
At the Motorshow atrium, visitors can also view two additional GWM models — the Haval V7, a rugged SUV designed for adventure seekers, and the WEY G9, a premium plug-in hybrid MPV aimed at comfort-focused family travel. Looking ahead, Cycle & Carriage shared that while the WEY brand is set to expand further in regional markets such as Malaysia and Australia, Singapore could potentially see the introduction of Haval towards the end of 2026.
Nature-Inspired Design with Urban Appeal
Designed to resonate with modern, globally minded drivers, the GWM ORA 5 draws inspiration from nature while remaining firmly rooted in urban practicality. Soft, flowing lines and balanced proportions define its exterior, creating a silhouette that is both contemporary and emotionally engaging.

Distinctive design details include droplet-inspired headlamps, sunrise-themed rear lighting, and 18-inch alloy wheels featuring a four-leaf clover motif — subtle touches that add character and visual warmth. Measuring 4,471mm long with a 2,720mm wheelbase, the ORA 5 strikes a balance between road presence and city-friendly agility, making it well-suited to Singapore’s urban environment.
A Clean, Minimalist Interior
Inside, the ORA 5 moves beyond the design language of the Good Cat 03 with a newly reimagined cabin inspired by the concept of “negative space”. Expansive textile fabric panels flow seamlessly across the dashboard and doors, creating a calm, minimalist interior that prioritises comfort and everyday usability.

Technology takes centre stage with a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument display and a 14.6-inch floating centre touchscreen, both powered by GWM’s third-generation Coffee OS intelligent cockpit system. While final Singapore specifications have yet to be confirmed, the Motorshow showcase offers a preview of what customers can expect upon launch.
Electric Performance for Everyday Driving
The GWM ORA 5 is powered by battery technology from SVOLT, GWM’s battery manufacturing subsidiary known for its blade-style cell formats optimised for energy density and charging performance. For the Singapore market, the ORA 5 is expected to fall under Category A COE, offer a WLTP range of over 400km, and retain a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) similar to those found in the Good Cat 03.

With its blend of distinctive SUV styling, thoughtful interior design, and advanced electric technology, the ORA 5 represents a significant milestone for both Cycle & Carriage and GWM ORA. More details on pricing, trims and launch offers will be announced closer to its official local launch.
