Plaud Inc., the company behind one of the world’s most trusted AI work companions with over 1.5 million users globally, has announced the launch of Plaud Desktop, extending its full-scenario conversation intelligence to professionals across the Asia-Pacific region. The new desktop solution allows users to capture and manage meetings wherever they happen, in person or online, without relying on intrusive meeting bots.
Built for today’s increasingly distributed and hybrid work environment, Plaud Desktop enables professionals to securely capture, extract, and use insights from online meetings, while seamlessly syncing all conversations with the Plaud App and Plaud Web. By bringing every discussion into a single, unified workflow, Plaud aims to help users stay organised, focused, and in control of their information.

With this launch, Plaud becomes the only AI note-taking solution designed to work across every scenario: in-person conversations, phone calls, and online meetings. As hybrid work continues to redefine how professionals collaborate across Asia-Pacific, Plaud Desktop offers a more natural way to preserve context, surface insights, and turn conversations into actionable intelligence. Online meetings can be captured natively, without bots joining calls, and centralised alongside in-person and phone conversations on one secure platform.

Powered by Plaud Intelligence, Plaud Desktop uses smart meeting detection to identify when an online meeting is active by analysing changes in a computer’s microphone or system audio. It automatically detects meetings across major conferencing platforms, including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other meeting calls. Once a meeting begins, users can securely record high-quality audio through user-controlled recording, ensuring they never miss important details while remaining fully present in the discussion.

Staying true to Plaud’s consent-first design philosophy, Plaud Desktop never records automatically unless explicitly enabled by the user. This approach reflects the expectations of privacy-conscious professionals and organisations in Singapore and across the wider Asia-Pacific region. In addition to audio capture, Plaud Desktop supports multimodal input, allowing users to record text notes, highlights, and screenshots in real time to preserve every layer of meeting context.

By unifying in-person and online workflows, Plaud Desktop turns fragmented meeting notes into a continuous and reliable record of work, without bots, without interruptions, and without losing critical threads, while keeping full control in the hands of the user.
“What sets Plaud apart is our design to work seamlessly across all scenarios: in person, over the phone, or on screen. That’s how intelligence naturally flows,” said Nathan Xu, Co-founder and CEO of Plaud. “Our mission is to amplify human intelligence, and Plaud Desktop is a key step in delivering that promise for professionals globally, including across Asia-Pacific.”
“Plaud Desktop lets me stay fully present in meetings while it handles the notes, so I can focus on the conversation itself,” added Jeff Allen, Senior Economic Specialist.

Plaud Desktop is currently available at no additional cost to users who own a Plaud AI note-taking device, including Plaud Note, Plaud Note Pro, or Plaud NotePin.
