GIGABYTE Technology has announced the availability of the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX, a compact and portable external graphics solution designed to dramatically boost the performance of ultrabooks and thin-and-light laptops.
Unveiled earlier at GIGABYTE’s September 2025 product launch event, the AI BOX integrates the NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 5060 Ti 16GB GPU, based on NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell architecture. Paired with the new Thunderbolt™ 5 ultra-high-speed interface, the device delivers near-desktop-level graphics performance through a single cable, transforming everyday ultrabooks into powerful machines for gaming, content creation and AI workloads.
Turning ultrabooks into performance powerhouses
Designed for users who want more performance without sacrificing portability, the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX offers a scalable graphics upgrade for laptops that traditionally rely on integrated GPUs. With 16GB of VRAM, the eGPU is well-suited for handling large 3D assets, high-resolution creative projects and AI workloads that benefit from local, private execution.
For gamers, the AI BOX enables smooth 1080p to 2K gameplay, enhanced by NVIDIA technologies such as DLSS 4, while creators benefit from accelerated rendering and improved workflow efficiency. It also presents an accessible entry point for AI newcomers looking to run lightweight models securely on their own PCs, without relying on cloud-based processing.

Despite its powerful internals, the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX features a new compact and ultra-lightweight design, making it easy to carry alongside an ultrabook. GIGABYTE has focused on minimising both size and mass, ensuring the device remains travel-friendly without compromising performance.
Through Thunderbolt™ 5, the AI BOX can also provide up to 100W of power delivery, allowing users to charge their laptops directly and eliminating the need for a separate power adapter. Flexible placement options are supported as well, with both horizontal and vertical orientations made possible via a magnetic stand.
Advanced cooling for stable, quiet performance
To maintain high performance in a compact enclosure, GIGABYTE has equipped the AI BOX with its WINDFORCE cooling system, which combines multiple advanced thermal technologies. These include a newly designed Hawk Fan with alternate spinning to increase air pressure and airflow, composite copper heat pipes, and a copper plate that makes direct contact with the GPU.
Server-grade thermal conductive gel is applied to critical components such as VRAM and MOSFETs, ensuring optimal contact, durability and heat transfer. Together, these features allow the GPU to operate at peak performance while maintaining stability and quiet operation, even under sustained workloads.

Beyond graphics performance, the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX also functions as a premium I/O expansion hub. Leveraging the bi-directional high bandwidth of Thunderbolt™ 5, it supports a wide range of connectivity options, including Ethernet for stable gaming, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs for up to four external displays, and multiple USB-A and USB-C ports.

The AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX is now officially available for purchase. GIGABYTE also noted that its higher-end AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX continues to perform strongly as a top-selling model in the lineup.
