Girard-Perregaux celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Laureato with a creation that unites two of its most emblematic signatures: the architectural Three Bridges (first introduced in 1867) and the instantly recognisable Laureato (born in 1975). The result is the Laureato Three Gold Bridges, a contemporary 41 mm interpretation limited to just 50 pieces — a seamless blend of heritage, mechanical artistry and modern ergonomics.
A New Chapter for Two Legends
As the second release commemorating the Laureato’s 50-year milestone, the Laureato Three Gold Bridges debuts a refined 41 mm case designed to elevate both form and wearability. Sharper lines, deeper bevels and a more sculpted profile allow the case to catch light more dramatically, while maintaining the integrated, flowing silhouette that has defined the Laureato for half a century.

At the heart of this anniversary model is a movement conceived exclusively for it: the GP9620 calibre. Entirely designed, developed and finished in-house, this purpose-built calibre brings the Maison’s iconic Three Bridges architecture to the forefront — not merely as decorative elements, but as the structural spine of the entire watch.
The Three Bridges: Architecture in Motion
The movement is arranged around three openworked white-gold bridges aligned along a central axis:
● Upper Bridge – Supports the barrel and conceals a platinum micro-rotor elegantly hidden behind it.
● Central Bridge – Governs the gear train and motion works with unwavering precision.
● Lower Bridge – Anchors the tourbillon within an ultralight titanium lyre-shaped cage.
This inverted construction reveals components usually hidden on the caseback, transforming the dial into a living mechanical sculpture.

The tourbillon—long a hallmark of Girard-Perregaux craftsmanship—features a small seconds indicator, further emphasising the Maison’s mastery of both motion and equilibrium.
Finishing Excellence: 418 Angles, All Polished by Hand
The GP9620 calibre exemplifies haute horlogerie finishing at the highest level. It boasts an astonishing 418 hand-polished bevels, including 362 inward angles — among the most challenging decorative techniques in watchmaking.

Every facet, curvature and surface is designed to catch and reflect light, underscoring the architectural depth of the movement. Suspended white-gold hour markers and baton hands with luminescent fill ensure legibility without obstructing the calibre’s openness. A subtle white-gold plate, engraved with the initials of the master watchmaker, adds a personal signature to each piece.

The Laureato Three Gold Bridges features a white-gold octagonal bezel with a newly refined polished bevel paired with a circular satin finish to enhance contrast and visual drama. The integrated steel bracelet flows smoothly from the case, showcasing domed links and a sophisticated triple-folding clasp equipped with a tool-free fine-adjustment system offering up to 4 mm of flexibility – perfect for changing daily conditions.
A Diamond-Set Expression of Brilliance
For those seeking exceptional radiance, Girard-Perregaux presents a non-limited version adorned with an octagonal bezel set with 32 baguette-cut diamonds (~3.2 ct).

Each diamond is individually mounted using an invisible-setting technique adapted to the Laureato’s architectural geometry, amplifying the interplay of light that defines this iconic design.
