Apple Unveils Exciting Lineup of Innovative Products in 2023

Apple Vision Pro: Transforming the Future of Augmented Reality

Apple has introduced Apple Vision Pro, an innovative spatial computer that seamlessly integrates digital content with the real world, enabling users to stay engaged and connected with others. Vision Pro offers a limitless canvas for apps that goes beyond the confines of a traditional screen, presenting a fully three-dimensional user interface that can be controlled through natural and intuitive means such as the user’s eyes, hands, and voice.

Powered by visionOS, the world’s first spatial operating system, Vision Pro allows users to interact with digital content as if it were physically present in their environment. The groundbreaking design of Vision Pro includes a highly advanced display system with an impressive resolution of 23 million pixels spread across two screens. Additionally, it incorporates custom Apple silicon in a unique dual-chip configuration, guaranteeing that every interaction feels like a real-time experience directly in front of the user’s eyes. It will be available early next year.

Mac Studio and Mac Pro: Redefining Creativity with Unparalleled Performance

Mac Studio introduces the M2 Max and M2 Ultra, which bring a significant performance boost and improved connectivity in an impressively compact design. Compared to the most powerful Intel-based 27-inch iMac, Mac Studio is up to six times faster, and it outperforms the previous-generation Mac Studio with M1 Ultra by up to three times. The inclusion of the M2 Ultra in the Mac Pro combines unmatched performance with PCIe expansion capabilities, making it up to three times faster than the previous-generation Intel-based model.

With up to 192GB of unified memory, both Mac Studio with M2 Ultra and Mac Pro offer more memory than the most advanced workstation graphics cards, enabling them to handle demanding workloads that other systems cannot handle. The introduction of the new Mac Pro marks the completion of Apple’s transition to Apple silicon, and together with the other professional systems, it provides users with the most powerful and capable lineup of professional products ever offered by Apple.

The new Mac Pro features seven PCle expansion slots — with six open expansion slots that support gen 4, which is 2x faster than before — so users can customise Mac Pro with essential cards.
The wide array of advanced connectivity on Mac Pro gets even better with eight built-in Thunderbolt ports — six on the back and two on the top — which is twice as many as before.

Mac Studio starts at S$2,999 and S$2,699 for education. Available in both tower and rack-mounted enclosures, Mac Pro (Tower Enclosure) starts at S$9,999 and S$9,429 for education. Mac Pro (Rack Enclosure) starts at S$10,999 and S$10,269 for education.

M2 Ultra: Pushing the Boundaries of Mobile Performance

Apple has made an announcement about the M2 Ultra, a new system on a chip (SoC) that brings significant performance improvements to Mac devices, marking the completion of the M2 chip family. The M2 Ultra is the largest and most powerful chip ever created by Apple, enhancing the capabilities of the new Mac Studio and Mac Pro, making them the most powerful desktop Macs ever manufactured. Built using a second-generation 5-nanometer process, the M2 Ultra utilizes Apple’s innovative UltraFusion technology, which connects the die of two M2 Max chips, resulting in doubled performance. With a staggering 134 billion transistors, 20 billion more than the M1 Ultra, the M2 Ultra boasts an impressive unified memory architecture that supports a groundbreaking capacity of up to 192GB of memory, a 50 per cent increase compared to the M1 Ultra. Additionally, it features a remarkable memory bandwidth of 800GB/s, twice as much as the M2 Max.

The M2 Ultra introduces a more powerful CPU that is 20 per cent faster than the M1 Ultra, a larger GPU that delivers up to 30 per cent faster performance, and an enhanced Neural Engine that operates up to 40 per cent faster. It also incorporates a media engine with double the capabilities of the M2 Max, enabling accelerated ProRes processing. With these advancements, the M2 Ultra takes Mac performance to an entirely new level, once again pushing the boundaries of what Mac devices can achieve.
