Acer has unveiled the Predator Helios Neo 16, a new addition to their premium gaming lineup, offering gamers high computational power and advanced features found in the top-tier NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards at a more affordable price. This mid-range gaming laptop provides a stellar gaming experience with its powerful components and accessibility to the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs, known for their exceptional AI-powered graphics and improved thermal performance.
The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series utilizes the innovative Ada Lovelace architecture, delivering a significant leap in performance and AI-powered graphics. With features like ray tracing, Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) 3 for high-quality frames, and Reflex’s optimized system latency, gamers can enjoy lifelike virtual worlds and gain a competitive edge.
The Predator Helios Neo 16 is designed to offer top-line capabilities at a mid-range price point. It boasts gaming-centric components and its abyssal-black anodized cover features laser-etched encrypted codes, inviting gamers to decipher the hidden message.
Available in two configurations, the laptop offers a high-performance 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700HX processor paired with either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU or the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, both with a Maximum Graphics Power (MGP) of 140 W. It also includes 16GB of dual-channel DDR5-4800 MHz RAM (expandable up to 32GB) and a PCIe NVMe SSD with lightning-fast load times.
To ensure optimal performance, the Helios Neo 16 incorporates Acer’s advanced cooling design, featuring custom-engineered all-metal AeroBlade fan technology and liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU.
The laptop offers two 16:10 IPS displays with excellent visual qualities. The WUXGA display has a refresh rate of 165 Hz and 400 nits peak brightness, while the WQXGA display has a refresh rate of 165 Hz and 500 nits peak brightness. Both panels feature a 3ms response time and display 100% of the sRGB colour gamut. NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC technologies are supported, providing smooth and vivid visuals during fast-paced gameplay.
In addition to the Helios Neo 16, Acer has also introduced the Predator Helios 16 and Predator Helios 18 models. These high-performance laptops feature the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or RTX 4080 Laptop GPUs, and impressive specifications for exceptional gaming performance.
The laptops come with the PredatorSense 4.0 utility app, allowing easy control of system settings and monitoring, and the Scenario Manager feature enables the creation of personalized profiles for different gaming setups.
