ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has released the ROG Rapture GT6, the first ROG mesh WiFi system designed for gamers, offering low-latency gaming, blazing-fast download speeds, dead-zone elimination, and robust security. This tri-band WiFi 6 system combines cutting-edge components and software to provide a bandwidth of up to 10,000 Mbps, thanks to two 5 GHz bands running at up to 4804 Mbps each, and one 2.4 GHz band running at up to 574 Mbps. With nine internal antennas and ASUS RangeBoost Plus technology, this massive bandwidth can cover up to 5,800 square feet.
Additionally, the system features a 2.5 Gbps WAN port and LAN aggregation for true multi-gigabit wired connections. The ROG Rapture GT6 also boasts triple-level game acceleration to prevent jitter, reduce lag, lower pings, and increase speeds, ensuring an unforgettable gaming experience.
The ROG Rapture GT6 is designed with a sleek and premium look, featuring an Aura RGB logo, slashed vents, and the ROG tagline “For Those Who Dare” etched into one side. The system’s antennas are located inside the device, and ventilation grills align with heatsinks for optimal convective effects and heat dissipation. A Moonlight White edition is also available for those who prefer a brighter aesthetic.
The system features nine internal antennas, including a Smart Antenna designed to detect optimal signal arrival directions for backhaul connections, eliminating WiFi dead zones. The ROG Rapture GT6 also leverages RangeBoost Plus, the latest and most powerful evolution of ASUS’s exclusive wireless network technologies, to expand the signal range and overall coverage by up to 38%.
The latest ROG WiFi 6 routers also include access to a third high-power 160 MHz channel in the form of a newly available 5.9 GHz band, providing more bandwidth to devices that need it and enhancing backhaul capacity for setups that could benefit from additional signal power.
ASUS’s network security package has been enhanced with more features than ever, including ASUS Instant Guard, which enables users to leverage the system as a VPN tunnel for a more secure internet connection when using public WiFi. The Safe Browsing feature filters out unwanted content from search engine results for a more family-friendly browsing experience. Additionally, subscriptions for Instant Guard and ASUS AiProtection are provided free for the lifetime of the user’s ASUS router.
The two-pack mesh system can be set up in just three steps using the ASUS Router mobile app, which can be used to monitor the network and change settings, even when away from home. Alternatively, the single version can integrate with the app to extend AiMesh coverage with a few taps.
The ASUS ROG Rapture GT6 will be available islandwide from March 13th, 2023, onward. The MSRP for the 2-pack is MYR3310.
