Review: Predator Helios 16 AI

Power Meets AI Precision

Predator Helios 16 AI Is Built for serious gamers, with Intel Ultra 9 and RTX 5090

The Predator Helios 16 AI is a powerhouse gaming laptop designed for those who want zero compromises. It runs on the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, making it one of the most formidable laptops for gaming and content creation in 2025.

The 16-inch OLED display is a standout feature. With its deep blacks, vibrant colours, and a super-smooth 240Hz refresh rate, games like Need for Speed and CS2 come alive. Night-time races show off realistic lighting and reflections, while anime like Midori No Kaori looks warm and richly detailed. The 3K resolution delivers the clarity needed for both fast-paced gaming and immersive cinematic viewing.

Performance is smooth and stutter-free. CS2 easily hits 180+ fps, with no screen tearing, especially when paired with DLSS 4 support. Streaming, recording, and multitasking? No problem. Even maxed-out graphics settings on Need for Speed didn’t slow it down.

Thermal management is handled with liquid metal thermal grease, 6th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans, and vector heat pipes. Turbo mode gets noisy but keeps temps under control and gameplay smooth.

AI features are more than marketing here. Purified Voice 2.0 is impressively clear. My mic picked up my voice even with background chatter, and teammates noticed the clarity.

Wi-Fi performance is solid too, thanks to Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro and Wi-Fi 7, which automatically prioritises game and voice traffic. In CS2, the connection remained consistently lag-free.

PredatorSense 5.0 lets you toggle between Quiet, Balanced, Performance, and Turbo modes, tweak fan speeds, manage RGB lighting, monitor temps, and more. I set red WASD keys for gaming and a calm blue setup for movie nights.

Sound is surprisingly immersive with DTS: :X Ultra. Directional cues in shooters like CS2 are sharp, and even ambient music in story-based games comes through cleanly.

One bonus? The swappable MagKey 4.0 keys. The mechanical WASD keys feel great for shooters and can be customised easily.

We say: The Predator Helios 16 AI is a top-tier performer, blending raw power with smart AI tuning, thermal efficiency, and gamer-first features.
