Canon today announced the launch of the newest range of PIXMA printers. This includes the TS9170, TS8170, TS5170 photo all-in-one printers, and the TR8570 office all-in-one printer. The latest line-up now features an app that is bound to change the way you record and share your favourite memories. The best part? It all comes in a stylish package that won’t look out of place whether at your home or in the office.

Changing The Way You Capture Your Memories

Imagine being able to send a birthday greeting to someone across the globe that includes all the personal touch of a greeting in person, or sending a photo postcard of a concert that features the very music you’re listening to, for that extra touch of immersion. The new Message in Print app makes all this (and more) possible! With it, you can include personalised messages with animations or links to web videos along with the photos you share. Just view the photo via the Message in Print app to relive the whole experience- or experience it anew.

The Message in Print app is available on the Apple App Store from November onwards.

Seamless, Hassle-Free Connectivity

With wireless connectivity, you can print and scan photos and documents directly from your mobile devices. Captured that perfect moment? You can have it printed within minutes, with practically no hassle at all!

With Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, you can always stay connected to your PIXMA printer via the Canon Print Inkjet/SELPHY app. It doesn’t just give you the convenience of printing anytime, anywhere, but also access to easy wireless printer setup. Not only that, it also lets you receive status alerts such as low-ink notifications, or an empty paper tray, simply by being within Bluetooth discoverable range of your printer.

Screen Displays for Every Printer Size

The PIXMA TS9170 comes with a large 5” touch-screen display mounted on a tilt panel. With it, you can apply a variety of creative filters on your prints when printing from memory cards. Need that photo in monochrome or sepia? Now you can!

Similarly, the PIXMA TS8170 and TR8570 printers feature an adjustable tilt panel that houses a 4.3” touch-screen LCD. Perfect for when you want a versatile printer without compromising on speed and productivity.

Finally, if space is your main concern, the PIXMA TS5170 might just be what you need. It has a discreet 2.5” LCD on an adjustable tilt panel, small, yet still perfectly functional.

Functions That Will Save You Time, Money, or Better Yet, Both

The TS9170, TS8170, TS5170, and TR8570 PIXMA printers can be loaded with paper in two directions via the rear tray and cassette tray. This lets you switch between alternate paper types, like plain and glossy, with ease. If you need to print a large number of documents, you can even fill both with plain paper for a combined paper capacity of up to 200 sheets!

The automatic duplex printing function eliminates the need to manually reverse a previously printed stack. Additionally, the PIXMA TR8570 also features a time-saving Automatic Document Feeder that can load up to 20 sheets of documents for scanning or copying.

The Document Removal Reminder function is yet another useful feature for ensuring document security. When a document is left on the scanner glass after a scan or copy, you’ll get a notification on the LCD panel and an audio alert. The ID Card Copying function also allows double-sided ID cards to be scanned onto a single printout while retaining the original card size.
